Motorola mentioned that the company would continue providing other customer care services as it is doing now. The company has also added that it has 160 service centers in India. Moreover, in March it has also opened Moto Care center in Bengaluru. During the launch of Moto G, 3rd Gen smartphone last month in India, the company declared that it is considering setting up a manufacturing unit here to take advantage of the ever growing demand for smartphones. Marcus Frost, Senior Marketing Director Middle East, Europe, Asia Pacific and Africa told PTI, “Evaluation is going on… We will have news soon,” on being asked about its plan to start manufacturing in India.
